Great news just in that Gillian Welch is finally going to release a new record at the end of June, eight years after her last one, Soul Journey. No more details yet, beyond the title The Harrow and the Harvest (which also, from a quick Google, appears - minus definite articles - to be the name of a children's book about the English Civil War...)
Anyway, for anyone who has forgotten what Gillian sounds like, or who never knew, here's a link to a good quality podcast of her set at the Newport Folk Festival a couple of years ago. Watch out for a classy cover of the Airplane's 'White Rabbit.'
